AUTHOR NOTE

Hello dear readers,

First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to read The Crimson Lies. Starting a new story is always both exciting and terrifying, and knowing that you are here, giving it a chance, already means more than words can say.

I want to share something honestly before you dive in—English is not my first language. Writing in it is both a challenge and a dream. You might find grammar slips, awkward sentences, or places where the words don’t flow as smoothly as they could. But please know this: every chapter has my whole effort and heart poured into it. I write not with perfection, but with passion.

This book is not flawless—it may stumble in places, the plot might feel messy at times, or the characters may make choices that frustrate you. And that’s okay. They’re human, they’re flawed, and sometimes even I wrestle with them as they grow. But that’s also what makes them real to me, and I hope, eventually, to you as well.

I deeply welcome constructive criticism, because it helps me learn and improve. You are free to point out things that can be better—whether in writing style, story development, or character arcs. But please, I kindly ask, keep it respectful. Words have power, and harsh or personal attacks can be discouraging to any creator.

This story is very close to me. It carries pieces of my imagination, my emotions, and my sleepless nights. Sharing it with the world feels vulnerable, but also beautiful—like giving away a fragment of myself, hoping it finds a home in someone else’s heart.

So thank you for being here. Thank you for giving The Crimson Lies your time, your patience, and maybe even your love. Whether you stay until the very last chapter or only a few pages in, I am grateful for every moment you spend with this story.

With love and gratitude,

ZIA ❤️
